Giant Latte Bars
The Weight Watchers Giant Latte bars are AMAZING!!!!!! Here is the description from the Weight Watchers website:
Enjoy the decadent taste of this smooth, creamy coffee ice cream bar every time you eat one. Enjoy it even more knowing that the GIANT Latté Bar has only 90 calories, 1 gram of fat and 4 grams of fiber.
I HIGHLY recommend these! I can't get enough of them, good thing they are only 1 point!

Smartfood Popcorn Clusters
The Smartfood Popcorn Clusters, really are smart! I usually skip right over items labeled like this because usually the labels are so misleading but I happened to stop and look at the nutrition facts on these and they were very good! They have 110 calories, 1 gram of fat, and 5 grams of fiber which equates to only 1 point! So then I bought them and they are actually very good. I have only had the Honey Multigrain kind but the other flavors sound great. I will try them next time! Happy Snacking!

Wasa Crackers
Wasa crackers are a great substitute for bread or any other crackers you are eating. These are so healthy and full of whole grains and fiber! Check out their website for great appetizer and meal ideas. My favorite are the multi grain but there are several different kinds that are great!

Smoothie
With the hot weather fast approaching sometimes you don't want a heavy meal. This is a smoothie recipe I made up and its great, nutritious, and will keep you satisfied!
Serves 2 (or put the other half in the fridge for later)
1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
1 Cup Skim Milk
1/2 Cup Frozen Blueberries
1/2 Cup Vanilla Yogurt (I use Light and Fit Brand)
1 Banana
Put the Strawberries in the blender with the milk. Blend. Then add the blueberries and yogurt. Blend. Add the banana and blend. Quick and simple!
Try it with other frozen fruit! I have used peaches in it also!

Mix My Granola
I am really excited about this post today. I came across this website and I am really mad I didn't think of this company! I love the idea! I haven't tasted it yet but I can't imagine that it will be bad.
Check out the website:
www.mixmygranola.com
Also notice it gives the nutrition information for each product (if you click "more info.") There are so many healthy nut, fruit, and "other" items you can add. Once you add them, you can click and get the nutrition info on your personal mix. Also, check out the Pre-Mixes! These sound great in case you get a little overwhelmed creating your own!
Enjoy!

Aunt Julie's Salsa!
When I was home last weekend I had the best salsa that my aunt Julie made. It is so good and so low calorie. Great to use as a healthy snack with baked tortilla chips or use instead of salad dressing on salads!
Here is the recipe:
In a food processor put a whole onion, bunch of fresh cilantro (pull leaves from stems and discard stems ) and chop to desired consistency. Add a clove or 2 of chopped garlic.
Remove from processor and add 2 cans of rotel tomatoes (I use the ones with cilantro and lime juice added) and 2 cans of diced tomatoes (I use the ones with diced chili's.) When I process these I usually leave them a little chunky.
Add juice of 2 limes and salt to taste.
YUM!

Praeventia Bars
I found these wonderful little bars at my Target Superstore! I have looked at several other grocery stores and haven't been able to find them. They are wonderful! I personally prefer the Cranberry and Pomegrante (With Red Wine Extract!)flavor. They only have 1 point people! That is nothing! Each "pouch" (contains 2 bars in each pouch) is only 100 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, and 4 grams of fiber! They are coated in dark chocolate, that is 70% cocoa! YUM!
Welcome!
I started this blog to share my food findings! I had a baby in January and since then I have been obsessed with getting the baby weight off! I am nursing so my doctor told me the only diet I can do is Weight Watchers. So since then, I have been entertaining myself with finding delicious food and snacks that are as few points as possible! For those of you who are unaware of Weight Watchers, each food is assigned a point value (points are based on fat, calories, and fiber). You are given a point value based on your weight, height, lifestyle etc and you must eat that amount of points each day to lose weight. I have lost 18lbs since I started the program about 6 weeks ago. Granted, that is much more than an average person should loose that quick but since it is baby weight....I believe it is ok.
So, if you aren't on Weight Watchers or even on a diet at all, this blog can still be beneficial for you! My intent is to tell everyone about the smart snacks and foods that I find and create! I will list recipes, nutrition facts, and point values. I hope you can benefit from my ideas and findings! Happy Eating!
